Field Day

Jayden's school had Field Day on Thursday and I promised him Sophie and I would attend. So we dropped Jayden off to school for the first time since Sophie arrived and then I fed her out in the car until Field Day began. Luckily she was happy with her quick feeding and slept right through the entire 2 hour Field Day so I could watch Jay and take pictures. What a good li'l sister she is!

Smiley Bear

I have to return to work in exactly 1 week and it breaks my heart every time I think about it, but especially when our li'l sweetie has been smiling up a storm every single day for weeks now. I know daddy will have so much fun with her when he stays home next week.
We took her for her first walk in the park this past weekend and the weather was perfect. She slept for the 2nd half of the walk.
I like to keep her in her diaper alone but daddy is always dressing her up so he gets annoyed that I don't put her in cute little outfits all day long.

4 weeks young

Sophie is 4 weeks of age tonight. The poor li'l princess has thrush and it has spread to mommy's milk ducts so we are sharing the pain together. She also has some baby acne but none of that has stopped her from being a smiley bear. We love how she follows us by turning her head and watching us walk around the room. And we definitely love how she smiles reacting to our different tones and emotions. I love the sounds she makes in her sleep and when she's awake and alert. I am definitely sad that I only have 2 more weeks to spend with her at home before I return to work. I am not ready to leave her yet but we have yet to win the lotto...or play for that matter. ;) Here are some pics of Sophie showing off her thrush and baby acne and still looking cute!

3 week appt

Sophie and I went to her 3 week well visit today and boy, has she grown! At birth she was 8 lbs, 21 inches and today was weighed 9 lbs 12 oz and was 22 1/2 inches long! My li'l boopsie is such a li'l piggy and it's showing on the scale for sure. Yay, piglet! She is also too long for some of her 0-3 fmos footed pjs/outfits ALREADY! Here she is doing what she mostly does best...sleep. She is jst now becoming more interested in everything and everyone around her and staying awake and alert longer. I love watching her watch me and smile and giggle. She is too cute when she giggles.
